It was a gorgeous day so we set out for Middendorf's to eat on the deck. We were dismayed to discover that it was closed for the year, despite this being the best time for weather in south Louisiana. As it turns out, they did us a favor because we ended up at Reno's on the River. Not only did we get to eat outside on their lovely deck, but the food was absolutely incredible. We started out with the fried crab claws - light, fresh, and truly the best we've ever had. My kids are still talking about them. The fish and shrimp po-boys could not have been better. Fresh and perfectly fried seafood on the perfect po-boy bread. Even the fries were outstanding. My daughter, a mac & cheese connoisseur, was totally wowed by this version - rich, creamy, and clearly homemade. The staff obviously cared very much about our experience and could not have been friendlier or more attentive. As a bonus, prices are quite reasonable considering the quality and volume of food, plus the fantastic atmosphere. We can't wait to go back!

Enjoyable scenic ride from Baton Rouge and a perfect day for dining outside. There was plenty of parking and seating both inside and outside. And you can fuel up your tummy and your boat.

Cute, quaint place on the river! Had live music on a Sunday, not too loud and was good! We shared the 3 combo platter of alligator, frog legs and catfish, came with fries and slaw! Was pretty good! Also got the side of red beans and rice, was awesome! Definitely a nice send off back to Missouri!

This place might be a little pricey but oh its so worth it. The food is AMAZING. The atmosphere is always great. They have a bar on the dock with the option to eat river side. You can arrive here by boat or vehicle. They even have a place to put gas in your boat. Im pretty sure its one of few places that you can fill up your boat and belly at the same time. But one of my favorite things about this place other than the good food is the people. They are so kind. You are sure to get a dose of southern hospitality and great service.

Talked to the owners. Incredible friendly. Staff was unbelievable. I told him and I mean it. The food is 2nd to none. And the seafood gumbo was the Holy Grail of seafood gumbos…. I highly recommend Reno’s to everyone. Prices were equally reasonably to the food and service.

Went to the comedy show at the end of October. What a blast we had the atmosphere was lively and mature. Sir, we had the most wonderful appetizers. Swamp balls were among my favorite. We have been here multiple times it has now become our favorite close to home restaurant to know that they are now bringing entertainment. Our way is something to really celebrate. Thank you, Reno's family for all you do. Thank you for your input to the community at the Halloween event. We see you keep up the good work.

My family came in today for the buffet and it was absolutely amazing. The best seafood buffet around. The endless boiled crabs were amazing! Brooklyn took care of us and our service was amazing. No drinks left empty and she always knew what we needed before having to ask. 10/10 food 10/10 service, we will be back!
